We have been very blessed by the partnerships that have been developed with our neighboring fire departments and businesses. We are able to function, in part, due to their generosity. Most rural fire departments simply cannot muster up enough capital to run a fire department like a big city can. We are extremely grateful for the help given by the organizations below.
Metal Depot donated ALL of the tin for our new fire station. These guys are awesome. Their donation made the new fire station possible. If you are needing metal, they are good, quality people who take care of the community. Thank you Metal Depot for supporting the Batson Volunteer Fire Department!!!
Huffman FD gave BVFD a HUGE donation of VHF radio communications equipment. These supplies were the missing link to getting our apparatus outfitted with radios. Because of the donations from Huffman FD, Crosby FD and Bearcom, BVFD will be able to communicate effectively. BVFD is on the air!!
Our friends in Liberty County were very helpful in donating some of their old equipment. They donated a breathing air filling system, a tank and pump system designed to go onto a brush truck, and old ladder and some miscellaneous equipment that we desperately needed. Thank you Chief Loftin and Chief Frazier for helping us help our community.
It's difficult to describe how great Bearcom has been to the BVFD. They have been instrumental to helping us get basic communication capabilities. We were in a dead spot, literally.
Bearcom donated a considerable amount of equipment, coax, expertise and guidance. We are now communicating effectively and are in the process of planning future systems upgrades with their support.
The EMCFD donation gave us awesome new capabilities and equipment: Positive Pressure Ventilation fire attack options, 1 3/4" hose, traffic safety supplies, water rescue supplies, hand tools and large volume nozzles.
For the first time ever, BVFD has vehicle extrication capabilities thanks to the Atascocita Fire Department and their ESD board, Harris County ESD 46. They donated us a complete set of Holmatro extrication tools with a recently serviced power supply. This equipment is invaluable and we are very thankful for their support.
The Crosby Volunteer Fire Department in Harris County, Texas donated to us a bunch of hand-held radios. The addition of these radios will increase our safety and will make us far more efficient in providing emergency services to the citizens of Batson.
Our friends down in Friendswood donated a large quantity of firefighter protective equipment to BVFD. This equipment was desperately needed to ensure that all of our firefighters can be safe. Thank you Chief Keesler for making this happen!!
